Yadda yadda yadda

With the incarceration of Mohammad Haneef, Mullah John and his ruling sect of right wing fundamentalists has turned his little kingdom of Australiastan into an even less recognisable shadow of its former incarnation, Australia. The biggest land mass at arse end of the world used to be little more than a pleasant tourist destination, a toy country inhabited by play people bent on doing an honest day's work so they could knock back a few tinnies and follow their favourite sport.

As Australiastan, the nation now stands for something beyond the relentless succession of sporting codes (so relentless, in fact, that women long ago had to show interest just to be noticed), or mates dying in foreign wars at the whim of corporate CEOs, all linked to the increasing profit margins of the military/industrial complex. It now stands for intolerance, incompetence, wilful ignorance and … yadda yadda yadda.

Look, various folks at this website-cum-blog (and its predecessors: Scum at the Top, Subs 'n' Duds Report, and the Resign Jeff [Kennett] Review) have been raving and ranting since 1994 about the debilitating effect of conservatism on the spirit of mankind. But, despite the great joy we all presently feel at reading about the crumbling John Howard Party in the daily media, we're bored as hell writing about it.

The coming election will reveal the primary vote of those who still support the JHP (formerly the Liberal Party of Australia) as hard core representatives of an unfortunate type of human being who has always done so, an entry level member of the species who, for example, at the conclusion of WWII in Germany, still thought the Nazi Party had been on the right track. That's how it is with the human race on planet earth.

Bilegrip shortly hopes to recruit one, Crispin Higbigiggy, to write about anything but politics. We pray the words "John" and "Howard" will not appear in his commentary until the election is over and they combine to celebrate the total humiliation of the man and his party. For nothing short of humiliating annihilation is called for.

Adios for now.

I only just came across this blog, obviously a diamond in the rough. I won't even try and saw anything remotely funny as I couldn't match this blog. Good work on the logo too, love it. This is the first election that I'm old enough to vote at, but I've been protesting all over Australia against John Coward and his delusional followers for years. I think this election is the best chance we've had yet, and despite the fact that I cannot logically understand why somebody would vote for the Liberals I'm just waiting to see what pack of lies the JHP will pull out of the bag to swing voters. I hope this time all those JHP voters will remember the fuckups and not the hollow election year promises, and the fact that let's face it the guy's a dickhead.

"Nothing short of humiliating annihilation is called for" - love it, keep bloggin, I'll be back for sure.
Sk8r Girl.

Thanks Sk8r Girl. Bilegrip should be back in action soon
